Plasmafunk Fully Operational, Offering Free E-Mail
-jeffrey

The Internet - Plasmafunkguy scoured all of www.plasmafunk.com this past week and has declared everything ?fully functional.?

?Everything?s looking good,? Plasmafunkguy announced. ?And with no false modesty, I can say that we are sitting quite pretty.?

?Quite pretty?? I pressed.

?Yes. Quite pretty indeed,? he responded.

Many new additions to the site have been made. Plasmafunk is now offering free e-mail accounts to its readers. I asked Plasmafunkguy about the new e-mail service.

?Basically, we?re offering free e-mail accounts. There?s not much to elaborate on. It?s free. It?s e-mail. It ends in ?plasmafunk.com?. What?s not to like? Don?t you want one??

?Well, no, not really.? I said. ?I?ve already got one.?

?Good point,? he said, a little dejectedly.

Plasmafunk has just started offering the new e-mail address and the getting is good.

?Because we have just started this, you can pretty much have any name you want.? Plasmafunkguy informed me. ?Unfortunately, if you wanted Plasmafunkguy, webmaster, or FlashGordon, they have already been taken.?

Plasmafunkguy has urged everyone to get an address as quickly as possible so that they can get the coolest name possible.

Plasmafunk started offering e-mail accounts last Monday, but due to a glitch in the code no one using Internet Explorer could get a free e-mail address. This was quite a serious problem as more than 60% of Plasmafunk readers use Explorer. Fortunately, the problem has been fixed. It is also possible that the same problem occurred if you signed up for the update list. All of these problems have been remedied and everything is now fully functional.

No one took the blame for the faulty line of code, but Plasmafunkguy did speak on the matter.

?If you tried to sign up for the update list or a free e-mail account and it didn?t work, please try again. There was some crazy internet voodoo against our source code, but the situation has been properly rectified.?

Text links have been added to the bottom of the main page for those on slower connections who don?t want to wait for all of the graphics to load.

?Yeh?we added text links. They?re all blue and underlined and pretty. I?m quite proud of them.?

?Quite proud?? I inquired.

?Yes. Quite proud.? he said, waggling his eyebrows.

?Well, that?s awesome.? (I replied.)

A new feedback page has also been added to make it even easier for readers to contact the writers of the website. Questions/comments/suggestions and anything else can now be sent by simply filling out a text box and clicking a button. This makes contacting Plasmafunk easier than ever. E-mails can still be sent by the normal e-mail sending methods. (And they?ll be read, too!)

Plasmafunkguy was unable to comment on the new feedback page, as he was curled up under the couch, sleeping.
